Amy Stephen
Amy Stephen is a performer, composer, arranger and producer. She has toured internationally from Europe to Japan at festivals and concert series playing traditional celtic and original material since 1995. Her new CD Among the Sanctuaries explores aspects of faith from within a Bahá'í perspective, but not exclusively. The CD features piano, celtic harp, low whistle, guitar, beautiful vocals, and choir on a unique arrangement of "Amazing Grace", plus the enchanting vocals of traditional persian vocalist Amir Haghighi. Amy and Amir were featured in the recent award-winning Canadian musical documentary "Music for a New World". Amy holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of British Columbia in piano and voice.
A founding member of celtic funk band "Mad Pudding", she can presently be seen touring the world with Vancouver-based world music ensemble "Jou Tou".
