Delaram Miremadi

Delaram Miremadi (Ghadrshenas) was born into an artistic and art-loving family in Mashad, Iran.

Since early childhood she performed at many school concerts and Bahá'í events. A graduate of University of Mashad in Persian Literature and Arts, she was the key singer at the monthly concerts, accompanied by the University's Orchestra. Delaram participated also in several national contests, which brought her two Gold and Silver awards from the Queen of Iran. For several years, she had professional theatrical and anchoring positions with the radio stations in Mashad and Abadan.

After her arrival in Canada with her husband and sons, she enthusiastically performed at many teaching and fund-raising projects in the U.S. and Canada. Also, as a member of the voices of Bahá and Bahá'í Gospel Group she has performed in various countries such as Israel, Slovakia and the U.S., as well as singing at the Carnegie Hall in New York, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 2nd Bahá'í World Congress in 2002.

Delaram's greatest pride and artistic contribution has been the production of "Navayeh Malakoot" in Persian, [i.e., The Celestial Melodies], which was distributed and received with much enthusiasm and appreciation throughout the world. In this album, which consists of special-occasion prayers, Hidden words and the Classical Persian music, she is accompanied by her father, Mr. Jalal Ghadrshenas, with a soothing sound of "Kamancheh". All of the sales and proceeds of this production have been donated to the Arc Project.
