Comic Sound Animation by Matthew McGrath is a new style of composition using music, people and sound animation to create fast, funny tracks of music. Much like short films without the picture the music creates a visual world in one's imagination taking you to places where trees can sing, tiger's take you to the supermarket and miniature explorers float in the depths of the human spleen. This album is impossible to class under a general banner, in performance it is broadcast in 8 point surround-sound, is it music or is it film? Matthew's work has received great review from the BBC, the album available to the public presents a stereo version for home listening.
Matthew's work as a musician has mainly been in primary education. His composition style reflect this and indeed there are many children involved in this album. Matthew also works as a piano player playing for The Matinee Orchestra and Banda Odora whom are playing major venues around the UK.
