Shabnam Cyrus

With a voice that is pure and clear, and fingers that gently brush the keys of the piano and strings of the guitar, Shabnam’s singing and playing have been enjoyed and praised throughout the United States, Europe, and South America.
Shabnam was trained classically as a pianist and singer, and this has strongly influenced her style. She finds enjoyment in the structures of various harmonies and melodies, and weaves this into her music.
Shabnam is motivated to write music that reflects the struggle of the human spirit on the one hand, and on the other, that which the soul seeks. The CD "A Dewdrop Out of this Ocean" includes both: original songs by Shabnam; and the words of the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh (Central Figures in the Bahá'í Faith), from which she gains her strength and inspiration, set to music by herself.
